How many trees does it take to create an Adoption Dossier?

Well, I don’t know the answer to that question, but I can assure you it takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears!  Tonight we are patting ourselves on the back; everything is collected, checked, double checked, triple checked, notarized, authenticated, and translated to French… stop, for hopefully a brief moment only, is the US/Haitian consulate.

Once home from the consulate it will remain in the safe until our kids get referred from our orphanage.  Then that mound of papers you see above, and probably us, will be on the next plane to Haiti.

By the way, each one of those papers above is not just a single sheet of paper but rather a stack of papers….trees standing everywhere can breathe a sigh of relief!
